Elizabeth User and a cat-owner
Introduction
What could I possibly say about my Blanche? She is my little girl. My world. I know a lot of you will agree with me when I say that with my kitty, I feel a motherly connection. Your precious kitties rely on you for food, shelter, love, loyalty, compassion, patience, treats
, and healthcare. When I look at my baby, theres so much more than a "cat".
I remember coming over to my friends house one day and seeing a little calico curled up on the top of the couch, she looked up at me and I fell hopelessly in love. I took her home, set her down, she looked up at the two ginormous pitbulls staring back at her, and walked right underneath them to go to her food. Lol. She had no fear. I knew she thought of me as "mom" when at night, she would curl up on my chest "knead" my neck and "nurse" on my ear until she fell asleep doing it. Like a human baby falling asleep while sucking on a bottle. Even to this day if shes a little nervous or if shes very loving, she goes to "nurse" on my ear. As wierd as it may sound, I have heard from so many other cat parents that their kitties do this to them too.
If I´m asked if I have any children, I tell them I have a little girl and show them my pictures of Blanche in my wallet. It´s so funny if they aren´t "cat people", they look they give you. But the best is when a fellow cat lover says "Oh, here pictures of my babies too!" and whips out all their photos.
Someone once told me I was destined to be a spinster with twelve cats....you know what I told them? "I hope so!"
