I have a VERY nosy. and ALWAYS hungry cat. Well we dont want him to get overweight, so we dont feed him 4 times a day. only 3. but since of this when we are eating food (popcorn,chips,marshmellows,candy..etc) Mr Munchkin thinks he can just stick his head in and get it. well last time he ended up with a marshmellow bag stuck to his head. lol. But he gets this stuff out then he runs with it. then he kills it. kills it again. kills it again. KILLS IT AGAIN. then final he kills it one more time then he eats it.
. well when we try to take it away. he doesnt let us. is there a cure?!!!!!! I NEED ONE!! can anyone help me to teach him to stop?!

Cats are curious at the best of times. If you add a greedy guts to that, they seem to think all food is for them. Plus Chewie is still very young and most things are still a game. Skitz loves my food too, although I have taught him manners. He knows to wait until I offer him something. A stern ´NO´ does the trick. For the extra pesky try a spray bottle. Everytime he sticks his nose where you don´t want it, give him a squirt. He´ll soon learn that people food isn´t for kitties. |

hehehe must say I had a good laugh reading your story could see it all happening! I think furry is right a squirt now and then taught my cats some boundaries! Although my old cat never learned not to steal marshmellows if she got her paws on a bag she killed them all and ate a few! |

A spray bottle would help, but you know I came home yesterday and found mine in the floor, the neck of it broken! Ozzie (I know it was him) had pushed it off the microwave and into the floor. LOL Cats are smart for sure. |

squirt bottles cure everything! Lou no longer scratches my carpet up. he scratches his post. when the boys start to fight, I show them the bottle and they sit down. its very funny. I dont have to use ot anymore just show it to them. |

Tigger has also always been a very inquisitive cat and should anything be opened be it a door, bag or whatever he has to see what’s inside. But I must say he has never actually ‘stolen’ food. When he was a kitten a loud no would do it – he hates it to be shouted at. Now when he wants something he just puts up such a fuss that we all come running to do his bidding! |

My only problem is I feel so guilty using the spray bottle. I will be trying to cook dinner and molly and Shakespeare are both up on the bench sticking noses into everything! Even garbage but I still cannot bring myself to spray them! I think I need to toughen up lol |

My cat Azriel always follows me into the toilet when I have to go. As a result, I can´t close the door or else she´ll scratch at it and meow to be let in. |
