Both of them took off this morning and I haven´t seen them since!!!! I´m starting to get really worried about them being gone. See, our one kitchen window is groud lvl and they both love to lay in the window sills... I even have a cusion up there for them. Well, I came downstairs this a.m. and found the screen out of the window laying out on the sidewalk

I have the window open just incase that´s where they go to when they come back home. I know Booboo loves being outside, but Tianna I don´t think she´s ever been outside. And I know where ever he is she´s right behind him... I just wish they would come home I´m starting to get really worried... It´s been raining here all day and thunderstorms... wahhhh I want my kitties

Oh I hope they come back. If Tianna has never been outside, I´m gonna guess she´s stayed very close by. Booboo may have stayed near her. A friend of mine had her indoor cat get out and disappear and after a day of looking all over the neighbourhood found him under the porch just next door. If they´re not back tonight, I´d suggest walking a grid around your place tomorrow, and check anyplace she could be hiding that´s nearby. Ask your neighbours if you can look around their places too - especially in "safe" places (under porches, sheds, etc). Bring some of their favourite treats with you. Good luck!

Well Booboo isn´t afraid to wonder around... he loves it outside, I just never let him out since he was attacked by a fox. So, I doubt very much he´s hiding anywhere... He just likes to go out and lay in the sun etc. And yes I´m sure Tianna is right up his tail... she always is even in the house. It´s making poor little Toma upset since they aren´t here... he´s been meowing like mad and hasn´t left my side all day. Booboo always came back either that night or the next morning because he was hungry so hopefully by tomorrow......

Oh dear, I hope they are allright. They might have seen something and gave chase. I would try and go out and call them at different times of day and also hand out posters to the neighbours.

Hope they are back..are they? Try looking for them?? My maomao and mewmew both ´ran away´ once, seperately. Got them both back after 1-2days. Starved and everything, but happy to be back. Hope they be coming home soon!

I woke up this morning to Booboo in bed with me... UGHHHH little monster! Tianna is outside yet in the backyard lol... She doesn´t let anyone pick her up or touch her so she´s going to have to come in on her own... No other way to get her. If we try and get her she´ll just run. She was meowing up a storm when we went out, I know she must be hungry so she´ll come in sooner or later. I doubt she´ll go anywhere with Booboo not outside now.

Sorry to hear about Booboo and Tianna. We worry about them just like our own children. Michy has given you some good advice, also put some posters up of them on lamp posts and put leaflets through neighbours doors asking them to check their garages, sheds and outbuildings. Failing that, put an advert in local paper.

I hope they come home safely soon.

Great to hear they are back safely, I hope Tianna has come in for some food

Glad to hear they returned

Well that´s good news! I´m glad they know who takes care of them! If Tianna remains reluctant and doesn´t come in, maybe she´s just shaken up by her experience. Do you have a harness for Booboo? Maybe if you sit outside with him on a harness and lead (and maybe some of her favourite treats) you can coax her to you. At least you know where she is though - that´s a relief.

Fabulous news, I am very pleased for you.

Well, Tianna still hasn´t come home or in the house. She was in the backyard but I haven´t seen her at all today... I have a feeling she´ll become an outside cat now I don´t see me being able to get her back in the house.. As soon as we get near her she takes off running....

That is a good idea or leave some food just inside the door where she can see it - you probably will get her back inside but it could take some time and lots of patience and persistence - good luck

Well, hubby and I have come to a conclusion. She doesn´t want to come back in the house and we believe that´s why she doesn´t like people.... we think she was always an outside cat, like a farm/barn cat. When we adopted her they said they knew nothing about her but that she did not like being at the shelter and she was afraid of people. We think she was just always outside and it´s what she is use too and why she doesn´t like people... We still see her outside from time to time but we can´t get her to come back in. I´ve put food outside for her but I don´t know if it´s her or the other stray cat I see walking around eatting it.

29.July 2008 10:29

Just keep putting food out for her - you are probably right about her being an outdoor cat - My hubby had a cat from a kitten and it just would not stay indoors but was happy to live in his garden and would allow him to play with him outside

29.July 2008 15:01

She is the same outside as she was inside. As soon as she sees someone she takes off running. I hate to just let her out there but I see no way to get her inside again and if she´s happier out there I guess there isn´t much I can do. The bad part is we´re moving soon and I don´t know what to do about her if I can´t get her back inside before we move.....

There is always the cat trap. It is a humane way to catch a cat. We can get them from our local council. Maybe look into a shelter or pound. They might have one you can hire. That way you can at least try to catch her. Basically it´s a cage they walk in the and the door closes behind them. Doesn´t hurt them at all.

Hey there, just wondering what the news is on Tianna and if you were able to finally bring her inside? The cat trap is a good idea - they are momentarily frightening but very humane. I used to catch mice in a my apartment with a smaller version and would let them go in a nearby ravine (unharmed but with an exciting story to tell their friends).
