I haven´t seen Mambo for 4 days now! I am so worried and so very fed up with it all the male cats I had ran off yest I´ve had Samba twice as long and she is still here....I don´t understand what´s happening to them....I loved him so...I still do! i so hope he will come back he is so adorable and beautiful and loved everyone! he is such a purrrrfect kitty I hope he will come back! I don´t know what to do without him!

Maybe he´s just out hunting, Lenaa. Treat was gone for three weeks once. Or maybe he got treed or locked up in someone´s garage. Sometimes it´s a good idea to go up and down your street when it´s quieted down for the night and call to him (doesn´t make you popular with the neighbors but you might find your kitty). If he hears your voice and he´s treed or locked in somewhere he may meow for you to come and get him. Maybe someone thought he was a stray and since he´s a nice cat they "adopted´ him and he can´t get loose.

When my cats have gone missing for a few days, I´ve wiritten up a short message asking people to check their garages and out-buildings and also giving my phone number. (I put about 10 to a page and photocopy - so that I´ve got lots). Then I just walk round my area sticking them on gates, or in mailboxes. Try that - maybe it will help.

darcyd thanks......I though of waiting a bit more and hope he comes and then I might try that....but people usually don´t adopt cats like that here...at least in these parts...everyone who wants a cat they have one and who doesn´t want one doesn´t have one....

Shibula that´s a good idea also....but people aren´t that conciderent here even if you offer a reward it´s not sure that if someone sees him he will call you...unfortunately....but I´ll still wait a while and then I will try something

I am so sorry. I hope you have good luck finding him. He will come back. He loves you. And maybe he got lost. Try to put flyers in all the mailboxs And you can try putting him favorite cat food out side and see if he comes back. Good Luck. Please keep me updated. I wanna know i you find him.

well I hope so but I´ve had some bad experiences so I´m not that optimistic about these things

We hope Mambo finds his way home soon so you can stop worrying! Just wondering...is Mambo neutered? Once he does come home, if he isn´t fixed yet having him neutered will probably help keep him from wanting to wander too far. Our fingers and paws are crossed for you both!

Awww I´m sorry to hear about your kittie.... This is how Booboo was... he would take off on me and come back. The last time I left him outside and he came back was when he was attacked by the fox (now blind because of it)... Now he doesn´t walk out this door unless he´s in my arms. Having Booboo neutered didn´t work he still took off the little bratt lol... So don´t be too sure that will work It might but it didn´t work with Booboo. Hopefully your little man comes home soon and all is ok with him

I hope by now Lenaa is sleeping next to you I know the feeling of loosing a cat..My Bibi went missing for 3 days. She was lost somewhere around my apartment compound. I posted missing cat ads on the entire blocks and finally while calling and looking up for her, she meowed and came out from the underground drain...phewww..since then, I make sure all access doors are lock up tight and all park walking with supervision!

5 days is a long time, but kitties can disappear for even longer with no apparent harm. My cat was missing for 2 weeks and then she finally clawed her way through a wooden door, where she had been shut. Hope yours is back soon.

so sorry to hear about mambo. miming also disappeared for a few days. he came home thin, dirty with small wounds from fighting but he came home on his own crying for his breakfast and to use his litter box. hope mambo is just out courting.

MichyD no Mambo isn´t neutered but as angielyn said.....having my previous cat neutered didn´t work either so we didn´t want to do it to him if it wasn´t gonna help with anything....

I see that most of you are mentioning that he might be locked up in a garage....ot somewhere else that of course could be possible and Mambo always loved to go well everywhere we have a separate part of the house where you walk in only from outside and he´s not allowed there but of course every time someone goes in he does too.....so it is very possible that he might be locked up somewhere...but I don´t know if I just go out calling latter maybe at night when it´s quiet could he really hear me? and I don´t know how far ha may have gone.....and It hough if he was closed somewhere that person would open if it was a garage then to go to work or something....I´ll see...

I´m so sorry Lenaa. I´ve had two animals to run away. First it was my dog Sugar. We think she must have followed my mother to work one morning and then got lost. She was gone for days and days, but one day she showed up in the yard again.

And Athena got outside and "ran off" very recently. It turns out she was under the porch the whole time, but she was gone all day and night.

Because both of my pets came back, I am optimistic that your Mambo will too.
and purrs while you struggle through his absence.
