Mom´s mad at me again...

My Mom didn´t want to let me go outside all day because it was so hot. But, because I bugged her so much, she finally gave in about 5:30 PM and let me go out. Well...it only took me two minutes before I caught a HUGE bird. I was so excited that I came running back to the house with the bird in my mouth and began scratching on the door.

As soon as my Mom saw the bird, she yelled at me. Then, she opened the door and tried to coax me inside. Well...there was NO way that I was going back in the house without my prize. So, Mom slammed the door and said some nasty things. I think she´s really mad at me.

Because it´s so hot outside, I think she got worried...so she finally came outside and yanked me into the house. I was trying to tell her that I wanted my birdie to come in too but she wouldn´t listen.

Now....I´m in the proverbial "dog house". She doesn´t want anything to do with me. I wish my Mom would talk to darcyd...because she understands that birds are "meals on wheels". My Mom just doesn´t get it.

Oh, well...she´s right about one thing...it is cooler inside. (yawn)

wow buddy you really got into troubles this time!! I wish I could catch birdies but I don´t think my mom would appreciate it either! humans are ungrateful! Hopefully your mom would let you in soon... if she doesn´t you can come by and hang out with me with the cool air square thing I have in my room now!

It´s okay Desmond...My Mom pulled me inside the house. It´s my birdie that she won´t allow inside. He´s warm too...but...uh..well...a little dead..but warm. Shucks ...he was such a nice big birdie too.
My Mom´s NO fun at all.

Tigger Buddy! WAY TO GO! I am super impressed. I can´t catch birds, although since moving it´s not an issues coz they don´t tend to come inside!

Your Mum is a spoilsport! What is with that??!! What´s the point of catching stuff if you can´t bring them home and show off to one and all. Doesn´t she get that the others won´t believe you if you can´t SHOW them! Pppffffttttttt

It´s a good thing that our door has clear glass panels at each side ´cuz I was able to show off to Zeus, Princess and Miracle. Zeus really wanted to be part of it, I could tell....but my Mom put her foot down.
But at least I was able to show my "catch of the day" off..

oh wow! u caught a birdy in like 2 mins! That is impressive...wished I could catch one... they are always too fast for me, and it be too flashy to be flying around catching them...

I think it was because my Mom had kept me cool all day by keeping me inside. I was raring to go when she finally let me go.
I ran outside and grabbed a bird..and that was it.
Too bad she didn´t appreciate it though....

Hey, Tigger, at least you showed her you still have what it takes to be a mighty hunter and catch those meals on the fly! When I was younger, I didn´t want mom to go away ever ever. When she left for a day or two, I decided that she left because she was hungry and needed to go hunting so I ALWAYS brought her a special treat like half a vole or a dead bird. She didn´t eat them, but she didn´t scold me. She petted me and told me I was a mighty hunter and she´d save my gift for later (but I think she threw it away). Humans have odd tastes. The only time she gets upset is if we bring in something still alive. Then she won´t let us kill it. Actually, Treat and I used to bring in live birds because it was so much fun to watch big old mommy climb around on the furniture trying to trap the silly bird so she could let it out. The darn things didn´t usually survive anyway--they are NOT very sturdy.
