About me
Lucy was a rescue cat twice over. When my Nan lost her old cat Twizzy she wanted to get another one, so we were looking for kittens. Then a friend of my Nan´s mentioned that there was a young stray she was feeding which had been left behind when it´s owners moved away. I took my Nan to have a look and she fell in love with Lucy. My Nan died in 2003 and I took Lucy in (my aunt wanted to have her put to sleep!!). It was a very stressful time for Lucy, who was already deaf and within a month of moving in all her teeth had been reabsorbed into her body (according to the vet this is something that can occur in cats). However, during that month she had impressed us all with her Viper hiss. Once she found her feet she took over. She was clearly used to being Top Cat and she certainly had a lot of attitude. Bugs was always a laid back kind of guy so he pretty much let her have things her way. So long as he got to hang out with mummy and sleep on her bed at night he was fine with the new rather tempermental addition to the household.
Lucy had many health problems when she came to me but most of them were stabilized with medication and she was confortable until the end. Lucy passed away in August 2005
