Introducing Lillian

I was going thru my photo albums and scanning in the pics to my computer, so I can save them to disc and in the event the originals are damaged, or we have to evacuate ever, I only have a box of cds to take with me and I don´t loose my precious photos.

Since I have talked about Phyll and Lil before I decided they deserved to be here too.
So this is Lillie.

Phyll and Lil were named after the rugrats. They are sisters, yes Phyll too is a girl.
After university and going to the city to work for two years, I had to spend 12 months on the farm helping. The farm was in need of another worker, but couldn´t afford one, so I had to do it. As I never, never wanted to be a famer, and wanted to go to the city and to my career as a computer programmer. I was very depressed about having to put my life and plans on hold, that in order to give me something for my sacrifice my Mum gave me Phyll and Lil. My father (whom I´ve talked about before and won´t here) gave me permission to keep them indoors in my bedroom. Cats were never allowed indoors before, but even he knew he asked me for a big sacrifice and so he relented.

They were the remedy I needed. They were fantastic. They lived in my bedroom, tray and all. The slept with me. Lily used to crawl under the covers to sleep, and she would go down to the very bottom and do poop. After the second time I learnt not to stretch my feet out until I had checked.

When I went back to work after 12 months, they came with me. I moved to a farm house in an outer, outer suburb. I wanted to have my horse with me, she was getting very old and wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. It was an old, cold house, but we were happy there.

After my horse passed away we moved into the town of Pakenham, an outer suburb of Melbourne. We lived there for 3/4 years before I had to move into the city. The commute was killing me. Molly had come to me by then. Since Phyll & Lil had never been confined indoors, I felt it was too hard on them to move them to the city. So I rehomed Lil with my Mum and Phyll with my sister.

Lily disappeared about 1.5 years later. We never knew what happened to her, and it is the single reason I will never not have my animals microchipped. I hate not knowing, even now. And even to this day still check the local shelter for anyone that could be Lily. But I know in my heart she has crossed the rainbow bridge.

Lily and Phyll gave me so many fun times, I will share these from time to time.
As well as adding photo´s as I scan them in. We are only up to 1998, and that took me ALL afternoon!

Bless You Lillian, where ever you are. I will always love you.
